COLLEGE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MEETING

The online meeting of the College Development Committee (CDC) as per Maharashtra Public University Act, 2016 (Chapter VII-97) for the Academic Year 2025-26 will be held on 06/10/2025 at 09:00 am.
The Google Meet link for the online meeting will be sent.

All respected members are requested to accept the invitation and remain present for the same.

  1. To read and confirm the minutes of the previous CDC Meeting.
  2. To consider the Principal’s report regarding the working of the college from 8th Sept. 2025 to 4th Oct. 2025.
  3. To submit the receipt and payment statement for the period 01/04/2025 to 31/08/2025.
  4. To review the examinations conducted and to be conducted in the 2nd half of 2025.
  5. To take the review of admission status of various classes of Grant and Non-Grant Courses.
  6. To consider appointments made for the academic year 2025-26.
  7. To sanction leave applications, if any.
  8. Any other item with the permission of the Chair.

Minutes of the meeting

Online meeting of the College Development Committee (CDC) as per Maharashtra Public University Act, 2016 (Chapter VII-97) for the Academic Year 2025-26 was held on Monday 06 October 2025 at 09:00 am.
The proceedings of the meeting as per the agenda were as follows:-

  1. To read and confirm the minutes of the previous CDC Meeting.
    • Principal Dr. Karande read the minutes of previous CDC meeting held on 8th September 2025. Minutes of the meeting were confirmed unanimously.
  2. To consider the Principal’s report regarding the working of the college from 8th Sept. 2025 to 4th Oct. 2025.

      • Chairperson Dr. Suhasini Sant
        • Research activity of the college appreciated
        • Congratulated students
        • National conference preparation should be started – send the budget to the Society.
      • Principal
        • Budget will be sent for the conference to the Society.
    • President Dr. Deshpande
      • Good working of the college, committee congratulates you.
      • Receipt and payment statement to be submitted up to 31 August 2025
      • Concentrate on admissions.
      • You should get NAAC A grade, in the next cycle, prepare for that.
      • How many staff members have completed their PhD and how many are pursuing?
      • Conduct an international conference. AI and Skill development these topics should be covered.
      • Discuss not only the benefits but also the problems of AI. It has become all pervasive.
      • What about pending fee?
        • Principal – Rs. 4 Lakh
      • President – It is too much. Concentrate on recovery. Good work, good results, good programmes. The committee congratulates the college.
        • Principal – Thank you all.
  3. To submit the receipt and payment statement for the period 01/04/2025 to 31/08/2025.
    • Receipt and payment statement for the said period, submitted to the Gokhale education Society.
  4. To review the examinations conducted and to be conducted in the 2nd half of 2025.
    • ATKT exams over in September.
    • Regular exams will be conducted from 9th Oct.
    • University exams according to University schedule.
  5. To take the review of admission status of various classes of Grant and Non-Grant Courses.
    • Refer to Admission status table below.
  6. To consider appointments made for the academic year 2025-26.
    • Principal
      • Interviews were conducted in September 2025 for the following posts
      • UG Grant CHB Economics and Commerce – 3 out of 4 joined
      • UG non-grant CHB – Marathi, Hindi, Computer, IKS and other – 4 joined.
      • MCOM non-grant CHB – 3 joined
      • Librarian – 1 (part time) joined.
      • Non-teaching – 4 joined.
      • Total 15 appointments.
  7. To sanction leave applications, if any.
    • No special leave. No without pay. No medical leave – during this period.
  8. Any other item with the permission of the Chair.
    • Principal Dr. Karande – Newly appointed Assistant Office Superintendent Mr. Sonawne to be newly added to the committee in place of OS Mr. Kirve who was transferred to Shri Bhausaheb Vartak College, Borivali as Registrar last month.
    • President Deshpande and Chairperson Dr. Sant – Admit Mr. Sonawne to the committee and inform the Society office.
